Hyangreas Galore at NMWA
Lindsay and Jacob dreamed of gorgeous, lush hydrangeas filling the beautiful space at the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA). In fact, after they became engaged and they were living in NYC, they booked NMWA site unseen! The venue was still completing its renovations, but they knew it would be beautiful and perfect for their 180 guest, black-tie affair. Curious Fox Press was commisioned to create a one-of-a-kind invitation suite, including a monogram, watercolor, embossment and letterpress details. The wedding cake drew inspiration from the invitation suite, and hydrangeas were hand painted onto it to mimic the painting on the invitation card. For the ceremony, the chuppah was covered with white florals and Jacob's tallit was hung from the top. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the art gallery, dining and embibing while viewing stunning artwork. As a surprise for guests, the artist Brittany Branson was onsite to create guest illustrations at their favor! A "woman in the arts" painting for guests at the Museum for Women in the Arts! Guests dined on beef and salmon on the Mezzanine level, where towering florals and a showstopping hydrangea runner was created on the head table. Then, Sound Society Band kept the dance floor full all night long! Espresso martinis and late nite bites were also enjoyed in between dancing moments. Congratulations Lindsay and Jacob!
